Rationale and Background

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, is the first faculty of pharmaceutical sciences established in Thailand. Throughout its history, the Faculty has continuously fulfilled its core missions in all areas, including the education and development of graduates in various disciplines, the establishment of collaborative networks, and the promotion of international research and academic collaboration. The Faculty has also placed strong emphasis on advancing research standards to an international level, which serves as an important mechanism for encouraging faculty members and researchers to continuously conduct high-quality research.

Such efforts provide opportunities for researchers to exchange knowledge, skills, and experience with researchers from other institutions, remain informed of advances in their respective fields of interest, and apply newly acquired knowledge to future research activities. They also contribute to enhancing the visibility and reputation of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, by demonstrating its academic, research, and innovation capabilities to the pharmaceutical profession and the wider academic community. As a result, a substantial number of research studies conducted by the Faculty have been published in reputable and internationally recognized journals.

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, has therefore continuously organized an annual academic conference for the presentation of research in pharmaceutical and health sciences. First organized in 1982, the conference is one of the longest-running academic conferences organized by a faculty of pharmaceutical sciences in Thailand and has gained recognition among academics nationwide. Each year, a large number of research contributions covering all areas of pharmaceutical sciences are submitted for dissemination.

The Faculty’s International Annual Meeting in Pharmaceutical Sciences provides an academic platform for faculty members, researchers, postgraduate students in pharmaceutical sciences and related disciplines, as well as other interested participants from institutions throughout Thailand, to present their research findings, exchange knowledge and research experience, and explore opportunities for the future application and utilization of research outcomes. As the conference is organized at the international level, it not only provides an opportunity to disseminate research conducted by Thai researchers but also facilitates academic exchange with international researchers. The conference therefore contributes to strengthening collaboration among Thai researchers and their counterparts from universities and research institutions abroad.

The 41st International Annual Meeting in Pharmaceutical Sciences (IAMPS41) will bring together faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students from faculties of pharmaceutical sciences throughout Thailand, as well as participants from other related health science disciplines. The conference is scheduled to be held on 17–18 December 2026 at The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. Participants may attend the conference without the attendance being considered official leave and may be eligible for reimbursement of related expenses in accordance with applicable government regulations or the rules and entitlements of their respective institutions. Pharmacists participating in the conference will be eligible to receive continuing pharmaceutical education credits accredited by the Pharmacy Council of Thailand.

The conference will feature special lectures delivered by distinguished invited speakers, together with research presentations by Thai and international researchers, with approximately 200 participants expected to attend. Research will be presented in both poster presentations and oral presentations, covering the following areas:

1. Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Natural Products
2. Pharmaceutical Technology and Cosmetic Sciences
3. Biopharmaceutical Sciences
4. Clinical and Social/Administrative Pharmacy

To facilitate the broader dissemination of research findings, works accepted for presentation at the conference will be published in the Conference Proceedings. Submissions may consist of an Abstract or an Abstract together with a Full Paper, with the Full Paper limited to 5 A4 pages and prepared in accordance with the prescribed format. All submitted works will undergo peer review to ensure their academic quality and appropriateness prior to publication.

Objectives

1. To facilitate the dissemination and exchange of knowledge, academic work, and research findings among Thai and international researchers, and to provide opportunities for participants to exchange knowledge and experience in research, academia, technology, and innovation.
2. To promote future research collaboration and the development of academic networks at both the individual and institutional levels.
3. To provide pharmacists, faculty members, academics, researchers, postgraduate students, and other interested participants from both public and private organizations with opportunities to present their research on an international platform, thereby strengthening Thailand’s academic and research advancement and leadership in pharmaceutical sciences at the international level.

Conference Format

1. Special lectures delivered by distinguished speakers and invited speakers from Thailand and abroad.
2. Research presentations in the form of Oral Presentations.
3. Research presentations in the form of Poster Presentations.
4. Award presentation ceremonies for the “Pharmacist Special Professor Dr. Vichien Jeerawong” Award”

Application and Registration

1. Registration for the 41st International Annual Meeting in Pharmaceutical Sciences (IAMPS41) is available at: https://www.pharm.chula.ac.th/iamps41/
2. Applicants who wish to attend the conference and present their research as an Oral Presentation or Poster Presentation are required to submit either an Abstract or an Abstract together with a Full Paper. The Full Paper must not exceed 5 A4 pages, including the abstract, and must be submitted as a Microsoft Word file in accordance with the prescribed format.
